HELLO!

It's ME! only...not me! I'm Sister Halliday now! Whee! But this is the only entry I'll be making on my own. From here on out this blog is gonna be updated by my parents. My mom is gonna post my emails here for all to take a gander at and see what I'm up to. She'll also post pictures when I send pictures home for your viewing pleasure. Oh boy!

So ummm...I guess I could write something of substance here now. I was set apart tonight at 7:30. It was pretty long cuz President Reeder likes to talk...and he likes to make other people talk too. But its ok cuz he actually has interesting things to say. He talked about Aaron and Moses. Did you know Aaron and Moses were companions? Like missionaries!?! Never thought about that.

Ok um...I'm a little giddy I thinks.

It was a pretty weird day all around. First, it was raining all day. In Arizona!!! Then sacrament was pretty empty even though my friends filled like 4 rows. It's cuz a FREAK flu hit and everyone was sick. Even the bishop! Sad day...but then he couldn't stop me from talking about video games in my talk. meheheheh.

Oh! but my grandy and my aunt came to hear me talk! That was a very happy thing indeed!

Then my open house was really hot. I had to open many windows cuz too many people were breathing all at once. not to mention kids running around. They get pretty toasty pretty fast those kids. =P

Anyhow, it was nice. I got to see a lot of the people I wanted to say bye to which is good cuz its hard to say goodbye to an entire ward. I'm gonna miss it...the ward I mean.

Anyhow so then President Reeder came over to set me apart and my phone was going off like crazy and I'm thinking "what the random!? they should know I'm getting set apart...I just kicked them out!" But we went through the setting apart and I only cried um.... k like every time someone spoke.

I don't really remember what was said though...cuz when it was over my dad checked my phone and told us that the Prophet had died...and I was too busy crying and everything kinda flew out of my head. So sorry...no details for you. Sister Cole had us sing "We thank thee o God for a Prophet" though. I was too busy crying to sing but it was nice anyhow. Even if my family can't sing...but they kept in tune I think. I was really really sad cuz President Hinckley was prophet since ever I KNEW there was a prophet. Well, knew as in understood what a prophet was.

And I was sad cuz I wanted to see conference in the MTC and see President Hinckley there. But at least he's with his wife. He missed her an awful lot. And don't worry. I love President Monson too...but he's too tall to ever be a cute little old man. *sigh*

So then I opened presents and my aunt Shareen made me the most wonderful stationary set. It's just PERFECT so I can write you all letters!

That's pretty much it. Tomorrow we leave for Utah and I get to see Clarissa and Jacob! YAAAAAY! And a bunch of strange relations I've never met. Oh joy.

That's all! I got to get to bed now. It's WAY past 10:30!!!

Love always,
Je...Halliday Shimai (that's sister halliday in Japanese)
